Angie Creswick has been appointed to the new role of Circuit Resources Manager. Based in the circuit office her role will be to enable staff and local congregations to focus on the priorities of Worship, Learning and Caring, Service and Evangelism by relieving as many of the governance and building management burdens as possible.
Angie comes to us with extensive project management and other related experience. When living in America she was the Facilities Manager for a 2,500 member United Methodist Church, responsible for the daily operation of the church property, including overseeing a $5million project to add a 2000m2 ministry centre. Since returning to England in 2013 Angie has worked for the York Civic Trust and the Archaeology Data Service.
Angie says: ' I'm thrilled to be joining the circuit team to work on the development of support systems for the Methodist churches in York. I have a background of construction project management and helping faith communities use their buildings and other resources in ministry and mission and like to see opportunities when others see problems. My husband, Ken, and I are pleased to have returned home to Dunnington with our two sons after 17 years living and working overseas. I look forward to getting to know staff, stewards and members in my new role and am excited about what God is doing through their faithful work in York.'
