Safeguarding children and adults who are vulnerable is an important part of making our churches welcoming and safe spaces for everyone who comes in. On this page you can find out how we hope to do this.

The 'Creating Safer Space- Foundation Module' is a training session for office holders in the Methodist Church which is designed raise awareness of safeguarding concerns and equip participants to know what to do if they have concerns. The 'Refresher Module' is designed for people who have done the Foundation Module before and need to refresh and update their knowledge.

Training dates coming up in 2019-20:

Refresher Module:
Sat 28th September, Venue Cornerstone Methodist, 9.45am-12

Foundation Module AND Refresher Module:
Sat 16th November, Poppleton Methodist, 9.45am-12

Refresher Module:
Sat 29th February, Bishopthorpe, 9.45am-12

Refresher Module:
Wednesday 29th April, Easingwold, 7pm-9pm

Courses last about 2 hours.
