My name is Liz and I am thrilled to be appointed as Local Pastor at Haxby & Wigginton Methodist Church. Taking up a post in these uncertain times of Covid 19 is a challenging and exciting prospect and I'm looking forward to exploring how I can help to shape and support the church community and wider circuit as we learn from and build on our experiences of 'being church' during the pandemic and explore where God might be leading us.
I am passionate about leading worship and am on trial as a local preacher. I love playing the flute in worship, and am also a member of a local orchestra.
I have always worked as a primary school teacher, specialising in music and R.E. but last year I left teaching as I felt that it was time to explore pasture's new, and sensed that God might be calling me to serve Him in a new way.
I am married to Stephen and we have two sons at University. In my spare time I enjoy running, especially park runs, hiking and making music.
