About Us

Constitution 2018 Vision booklet York Circuit Reports 2020-21

The York Circuit is a family of Methodist churches across York and the surrounding area. We work together sharing staff, preachers and worship as well as supporting each other in our communities.

Our leadership team of ministers, circuit stewards, local pastors and other lay employees meet regularly to pray and confer on the work of the circuit. Our Circuit Council, drawn from each church in the circuit, is our trustee body overseeing our life and work together. You can download our Circuit Constitution from this page.

Our Vision Statement "Growing in Christ" was approved by the Circuit Council in the summer of 2015. You can download it from this page. It builds on the Methodist statement of "Our Calling" to explain how we hope to worship, learn and care, serve and witness to our faith in our communities.

We have ecumenical links with many churches, denominations and other organisations across the York area including several Local Ecumenical Partnerships.

We are a Fairtrade Circuit and are committed to using and promoting Fairtrade products.
