Victoria is our University & Young Adult Chaplain and for 2026-27 will be working alongside Morgan, one of our Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme participants.

Our regular term time events are:

Monday, 9:30am: Morning quiet prayer with the Chaplaincy team at The Quiet Place, followed by hot drinks and pastries at D-Bar.

Tuesday, 6pm: Anglican or Methodist Holy Communion / Evening Prayer at Heslington Church.

Wednesday, 12:30pm: Midday prayer and soup with the Chaplaincy team at More House.

Semester 1 events are:

September

24th - 6:30-8:30pm Student pizza night at Southlands Methodist Church, YO23 1NX

27th - 10am Student Welcome Service at Heslington Church, followed by lunch

28th – Regular activities restart

October

15th 6pm Mass for the Beginning of the Academic Year at York Oratory, followed by York Minster welcome event (7:30-9pm)

25th 10:30am Southlands Methodist Church welcome service and lunch

November

2nd All Saints, All Souls Service with York St John Chaplaincy at York Minster

9th 7-9pm Interfaith meet-up with games and food at York Methodist Circuit Hub, YO10 5AF

11th Chaplaincy trip to John Wesley’s home at Epworth – please email for a place

December

2nd Advent Bible study on The Meaning is in the Waiting by Paula Gooder replacing Wednesday midday prayer – please email for a copy of the book

6th Hannukah event

10th Chaplaincy carol service at Heslington Church, followed by film night and pizza at More House
