Justice Seeking: Opposing discrimination

All humans are made in God's image, and should be valued and able to live with dignity. Paul writes to the early church in Galatia that "There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3v28).

Yet people have always faced discrimination because they don't 'fit in' with people's expectations- because of their gender, skin colour, sexual orientation, background, disability or something else.

Reflect on where you see discrimination in the world around you. Pray about how you or your church might be able to work with those affected to challenge discriminatory attitudes and practices.
