"Here is my servant, whom I uphold, he will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not grow faint or be crushed until he has established justice in the earth." Isaiah 42 v1-4
Where do you have power, and how do you use it? It might be as simple as where you choose to spend your money- which shops you use, what you buy, what charities you choose to give to. It might be who you choose to talk to or ignore, what information you hear or pass on.
If you have a role at church- particular those who lead worship or teach people about God, but others too- you have some power over others (even if it's only the power to give them the biggest slice of cake!) How can you use use it wisely to help others?
Unfortunately there are plenty of examples of misuse of power in the church. When you interact with others, make an effort to recognise who has power in that particular situation, and what the consequences might be if it was misued. Jesus shared power with others and acted as a servant- how might we do the same?
