Our reflections are based on the material for Bible Month: Philippians.
“I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now.”
Philippians 1 v3-5.
Paul starts by saying how thankful he is for the Philippian church, because of their faithfulness and support. Who are you thankful for- maybe someone who has encouraged you in your faith?
He goes on to describe the Philippians as producing a “harvest of righteousness” (verse 11) because of their love for Christ. Love and joy are key parts of Paul’s message- not what we might expect when you consider that he was in prison while writing this letter! How might we keep focused on our love for God when our lives are tough?
