Journeying: Walk and Talk
“Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?” Luke 24 v32
Do you ever find that it’s easier to have conversations while you’re doing something else? These two followers of Jesus left Jerusalem on Easter Sunday, still trying to come to terms with the shock of Jesus’ death and the rumours of the resurrection. As they travelled with Jesus, walking, talking and listening to his explanations, their confusion and worry turned to understanding and excitement, until they literally turn and run back to Jerusalem to share their experience with others.
Who can you walk alongside, who could help you understand your faith on a deeper level? And who might you be able to help understand better?
