How do you use your skills and talents in worship and service to God and others?
"All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a sinner." Luke 19 v7
Throughout the gospels we find stories of Jesus being shown hospitality. People he met or healed often invited him home for a meal and an opportunity to hear more of his teachings.
Some people are gifted in making other people feel welcome, delighting in taking care of their needs and talking to them about their lives. It's often an underrated gift. Several people in our Circuit have welcomed refugees into their homes in the last couple of years, and others are involved in showing hospitality to those in need via Carecent, foodbanks and warm spaces initiatives.
How do you show hospitality? Are there opportunities for you to welcome others into your home, where this is appropriate? Are there ways you can help make your church more hospitable?
Give thanks for those who serve God through offering hospitality!
