Reflections on change: Called to go

Read:  Genesis chapter 12 verses 1 to 9.

Think: God calls Abram and Sarai to leave their home and set off into the unknown. How would you feel if you had to do that? Has God ever called you to make a big change in your life? Maybe to change jobs, or move house, or move church? What was it like?

The reward for their obedience will be to found a great nation. God would be with them and their descendants, and eventually the whole world would be blessed as a result of Abram and Sarai's obedience. But that was all far in the future and all Abram and Sarai could do was trust. What are you trusting God for?

Pray: Give thanks that God's love is always with us, and pray that you will experience that steadfast love through all change.
