Angie Creswick works with our churches advising on buildings and governance enabling us to use our resources better in mission, witness and ministry. Based in the circuit office her role takes her to churches and properties across the Circuit and around the Connexion as she seeks to share good practice and create peer to peer support groups.
Angie originally trained as a civil engineer and has project management experience from working in the construction industry with employers such as London Docklands Development Corporation and Yorkon, a York based design-build fast-track building contractor. Angie has lived in the Middle East and the USA and whilst living in Virginia she was the Facilities Manager for Fredericksburg United Methodist Church overseeing a large project to add a ministry and contemporary worship centre. Angie has also been on mission trips to Haiti and Guatemala. Returning to England in 2013 Angie obtained a Masters in Conservation Studies (Historic Buildings) from the University of York with a dissertation on statements of significance.
Angie says: "I love working with the circuit team and Methodist churches in York helping them use their buildings and other resources in ministry, witness and mission. I like to see opportunities where others see problems and I am passionate about challenging injustice, offering radical hospitality to people in our buildings and using our built heritage to tell our stories. I am excited to see God at work in our communities and finding ways for us to join in."
Angie is our Circuit Resources Manager.
